The housing market is getting HOT HOT HOT !
My personal experience is that i'm getting calls from many home owners hoping to sell because prices are up more than we've seen in the last 3,4,5 years. Whats great about the timing is that interest rates are still at an all time low, making it great for home buyers also. It's not common to see a great market for both buyers, and sellers, at the same time. That being said, it is the reality of the time we're living in right now. How long will this last? Who knows. I do know we have the opportunity now, and if you're in a position to take advantage of this opportunity, one we may not see again for a long time, jump on it before you find yourself having "That" conversation. You know the one, "I was thinking about buying/selling back when ..., and I could just kick myself now!" Don't be the one saying "I shoulda /coulda /woulda ...." . Be the one saying "Oh yeah! I bought / sold during that time." You could find yourself being the envy of all around.
Here's something I just read from a local media agency, (omitting peoples names) "Local agents are saying Home buyers in Los Angeles and Orange counties are putting an average of five offers on a house before they're successful. We're seeing more demand from first-time home buyers, as well as those who want to upgrade to a bigger home." I have to totally agree.
"The market seems to be healthy again on all levels," says an agent in LA County. Again, I agree. It's great for anyone looking to buy or sell right now.
"With few homes for sale that meet these buyers wants and needs list, buyers are also flooding open houses that pop up. Many are coming from the Westside, no longer able to afford a home near the ocean as prices have steadily risen across the region." I'm seeing an increase in buyers looking to buy a home in Coto De Caza and near by areas, as well as the Riverside County with a focus in Corona Ca, Murrieta Ca., and Temecula Ca. The consensus across these So Cal markets, (home buyers should pay attention to this and believe it, its absolutely true) "Anything good that is on the market is going quick with multiple offers." What does this mean for buyers? If you find a house you like, don't wait! Jump o it and put in the offer, and be aggressive if you like the home. Otherwise, you will just keep putting in offer after offer losing out to buyers who are listening to, and trusting their Realtor.
"In Los Angeles County, there was a 4.9-month supply of homes for sale in February compared with a 5.2-month supply a year earlier — meaning no homes would be on the market after that time period if sales continued at their current pace and no new listings emerged, and according to the California Assn. of Realtors.
